Research on anti-chronic prostatitis action of anemone tomentosa

Objective To verify the curative effect of anemone tomentosa on chronic prostatitis.Methods Models of ear swelling induced by xylene in mice,exudation of abdominal blood capillaries in mice,cotton pellet granuloma in mice and non-bacterial prostatitis induced by carrageenan in rats were applied.Results Compared to model group,anemone tomentosa showed significant inhibition on ear inflammation induced by xylene in mice,increase of capillary permeability exudation of abdominal cavity in mice caused by acetic acid,cotton pellet granuloma in mice and non-bacterial prostatitis induced by carrageenan in rats.Conclusion Anemone tomentosa had significant inhibitory action on prostatitis.
