Modernizing steel-smelting equipment

The development and operation of the steel-smelting system at AO Liepayas Metalurgs is considered. The system consists of a 100-t arc furnace (STG Group), with a lateral scrap heater (COSS system, Fuchs Technology GmbH), a ladle-furnace unit (STG Group), and a continuous-casting machine introduced in 2006 (Siemens VAI).
