Animal faeces were examined and positively diagnosed for the presence of Fasciola hepatica eggs. The animais, from ltaguai - Rio de janeiro, have been put to graze on the same pasture. The study was carried out at the Laboratorio de Morfofisiologia e Patogenia de Carrapatos (LPMC), Universidade Federal Rural do Rio de Janeiro (UFRRJ), and represents the first report of F hepatica in horse, shheep and goat faeces in the state of Rio de Janeiro.
