The feasibility of low cost disturbance monitoring instrumentation

1992
A low cost power quality analyzer is described. The instrument is suitable for analyzing the main types of power quality variations. It can be used for reliability assessment purposes in both industrial and commercial environments. Design considerations, the result of prototype laboratory testing, and typical applications are discussed, together with operating modes, data presentation and limitations of the instrument. A working prototype of the power quality analyzer was partially tested. With a software disturbance recognition approach the sampling rate is limited up to 10 kHz. >
