Refrigeration system and method applied to data center

The application discloses a refrigeration system and method applied to a data center. According to one specific embodiment, the system comprises an air conditioner terminal, a water source heat pump unit and an absorption type refrigeration unit, wherein the air conditioner terminal is used for blowing out cold air, cooling a first to-be-cooled object, and recycling hot air produced after the cold air passes the first to-be-cooled object; the water source heat pump unit is used for producing first cold water, delivering the first cold water into a water inlet of the air conditioner terminal from a first water outlet, generating second hot water according to recycled first hot water produced after the hot air is cooled and delivering the second hot water into a water inlet of the absorption type refrigeration unit via a second water outlet; and the absorption type refrigeration unit is used for producing second cold water based on the second hot water so as to cool a second to-be-cooled object. The realization of the embodiment effectively reduces the PUE value of the data center.
