Ethylenic hydrocarbons sulphides by elemental sulfur in the presence of carbonate or alkali hydrogencarbonate, their preparation and their uses

1995
are described sulfur-containing products derived from mono or polyethylenic hydrocarbons by sulfurization to elemental sulfur medium in the presence of carbonate or hydrogen carbonate of alkali metal in the presence of water and / or at least one alkylene glycol. the sulfur-containing products which may contain from 20 to 70% by weight of sulfur, are generally soluble in lubricants, they improve the antiwear and extreme pressure. They can also be used as sulphidation agents especially in the preparation of petroleum refining catalysts.
