La construcción de la diversidad jurídica desde el Estado. El proceso de oficialización de las justicias indígenas en Michoacán

2014
In  2007, the state of Michoacan created the Tribunals of Communal Justice that, according to the government’s discourse, recognized the practices of justice exercised by indigenous communities and peoples. This study analyzes this process, primarily to elucidate the State’s actions and their implications for legislative production and the installation of the Communal Tribunals. Also, it discusses the relevance of the focus of recent studies in the anthropology of the State –which this essay adopts– to show the compatibility between a critical conception of the State while simultaneously elucidating its internal heterogeneity and conflictedness.
