A Career Education Approach Based on Group Dialogues to Help Adolescents and Emerging Adults in Their Self Construction

2019
In the current context of globalization, most individuals need to develop multiple social affiliations and are involved in varied work situations which are more precarious and changing than in the past. Emerging adults have the main task of self-constructing (Cohen-Scali & Guichard, in L’Orientation Scolaire et Professionnaire 3:315–320, 2008) while taking into account the effects of their actions on others and on the environment (Cohen-Scali et al., in Interventions in career design and education: transformation for sustainable development and decent work. Springer, New York, 2018). This chapter aims to contribute to an approach to work identity construction based on social interactions and more specifically on group dialogues from a Life and Career Design perspective.
