Probabilistic shutdown safety assessment using detailed plant models

A probabilistic safety shutdown analysis (PSSA) is described. The PSSA identifies when the margin of safety is high so that required maintenance can be performed safely while minimizing total outage time. The PSSA model was used to assess outage changes prior to their implementation.
