The invention relates to a trapping device and a trapping method suitable for smoke released by a tobacco material at a heating non-burning state. The trapping device comprises a heating part, a single-duct smoke suction machine and a smoke trapping part, and is characterized in that the heating part comprises a cylindrical heating body, an extraction pipe which sleeves the cylindrical heating body internally and a temperature control mechanism which is connected with the heating body, the cylindrical heating body consists of a cylindrical shell and a heating pipe which is arranged in the cylindrical shell, the extraction pipe consists of a suction nozzle, a suction pipe and a tobacco filling cavity which are sequentially connected with one another, the rear part of the suction pipe is installed in a cavity of the heating pipe, and the suction pipe is connected with the smoke trapping part through the suction nozzle on the front end. The method for trapping the smoke by utilizing the device comprises the steps: 1) heating the tobacco material; 2) extracting the tobacco material; and 3) trapping the released smoke. By effectively trapping the smoke released by the tobacco material at the hating non-burning state at different temperatures, the analysis and research on different tobacco materials at different temperature heating non-burning states can be realized.
