Getting started with the internet of things: pre-conference workshop

With the continued adoption of IPv6 and as cost of computing, sensing, and communication drops toward zero, the Internet of Things (IoT) promises to change how people interact with computers. It is likely that intelligent agents will be embedded in everything from light bulbs to packaging and will actively track, react and anticipate the information/computing needs of the unsuspecting human.
