The here introduced nonlinear cumulative damage model is based on a wide range of experiments as well as on a numerical analysis of the inner stresses by means of the finite element method. This model takes into account not only the load amplitudes of the single load sequence but also their chronology. The defined degree of damage displays the so far existing situation of damage.
