Chemical Composition of Essential Oil of Oreocharis acericula

The essential oil of Oreocharis acericula was obtained by hydrodistillation with about 0.1% (v/w) yield and characterized by GC-MS. The main compounds of the oil were long chain fatty acids: n-hexadecanoic acid(35.49%),11,14-eicosadienoic acid, methyl ester(23.06%). The minor component was 1-octen-3-ol(5.58%).
