Spazi geometrici, spazi vissuti e forme architettoniche: tra fenomenologia, geometria ed eco-architettura

2019
Which are the modes through which a model of geometrical space imagined by a geometer or a topologist, and a project of an inhabited space conceived by an architect can meet? And in which way this meeting may suggest new ideas and choices for organizing the everyday life in our urban and land spaces? Furthermore, in which way the phenomenological reflection, the anthropological study of places and the artistic creativity may contribute to the reconfiguration upon new basis of lived space and to the rethinking of our essential relationship with nature, living beings and things? In this essay we reflect on how a better comprehension of various geometrical forms that mathematics has to offer and of different forms of life (those nearby that inhabit our everyday life and those faraway which often inspire our thoughts and imagination), and also a greater capacity of observing and perceiving them, may contribute to introducing new models of rationality and sensibility and to improving the quality of life, as well as the relationships between human beings and the localities they inhabit.
