Burn-out of dry hollow parallel reactors

2003
The systematic study on the causes for the continual burn-out of dry hollow parallel reactors through theoretical analysis, computer simulation and on-site tests shows that the primary causes for the frequent burn-outs of reactors are the wiring design and parameter matching problems, and technical measures, such as adjustment of equipment parameters and installation of lighting rod, are therefore suggested to limit the surge voltage between parallel reactor windings, which endanger the safe operation of the grid.
