Phase distortions in radar respiration monitoring

Radar can be used to monitor human heartbeats and respiration through phase changes in the recordings. In measurements these phase changes are distorted, which complicates the task of measuring the correct respiration. This paper uses simulations and radar measurements to explain why these distortions occur.
