Satellite resource description and search based on hybrid granularity

2018
In the satellite networks, satellite resources characterized by a heterogeneous network cause the problem of the absence of the unified organizational planning and its description and handling. A hybrid granularity-based resource description method was proposed in this paper, which divided understratum resources into four categories. They were processor resource, orbit resource, communication resource, and load resource. The resource attribute of each category was defined and described fine-granularity by RDF. In order to improve the efficiency of resource search, it sacrificed partial storage space of satellite nodes to cache the index information of other nodes resources in each node, and the nodes can dynamically maintain resource indexes. As a result, the index of resource was established in the satellite networks, so it can achieve resource description and faster search in satellite networks. The simulation results indicate that hybrid granularity-based resource search is better than flood_request algorithm and CAR in successful search rate and response time.
