Robots and forth

Abstract This paper outlines the essential features of FORTH, and shows its applicability to the programming of robots. Practical investigations using an inexpensive kit built robot attached to a BBC microcomputer, have been conducted and some of the results are given. Acornsoft FORTH is used to develop the full potential of the BBC micro in this application.
