Sliding mode control of PMSM based on novel convergence reaching law

To alleviate the phenomenon of high frequency chattering in the traditional sliding mode control system of permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM), a new sliding mode controller based on convergence reaching law is proposed in this paper. For verifying that the method can meet the control requirements of high performance, the sliding mode control method is used to replace the PI regulator on the current loop and the rotation loop. The experimental results show that after the new sliding mode controller is applied to the control system, the output waveform jitter amplitude of the new controller is 90% smaller than that of the traditional controller, and the waveform is smoother. The dynamic and static performance of the system is improved, and the robustness of the system is enhanced.
