Das tribologische Verhalten von neu entwickelten PVD-Schichtsystemen für die umweltverträgliche Kaltumformung

2002
The state of the art to reduce tool load in cold forming is the use of high additive fluid and solid lubricants. Because of the critical environmental impart of these additive lubricants, the engineering research is looking for biologically degradable systems, that have the same tribological characteristics as these additive lubricants to replace them. In a MSIP-process deposited solid lubricant Ta0x and Ti-N based systems deposited in a AIP-process achieved the base demands of a high oxidation stability and higher hardness with a simultaneous low E-module. In order to proof the tribological performance, pin-on-disk tribometer tests were made under cold forming conditions. In addition it was possible to develop a hard coating for cup backward extrusion and fine-blanking, that brought satisfying results under dry test conditions.
