A Review on Big Data and Internet of Things and its Associated Challenges

The explosion in usage of data science to drive virtually every imaginable frontier in science and technology in the past decade has also given rise to challenges and limitations. On the other hand, the ubiquity of cheap, easily available sensors combined with ever improving capabilities of processing large amounts of data has aided in opening new fields of applications for internet of things frameworks. In this paper, we review the fields of big data and internet of things as they relate to each other and outline the challenges presented by the two as we discover new ways to leverage their capabilities.
