Application of Kalman Filter in Pipeline Leak Detection

Suction wave method to detect pipeline leakage has high sensitivity and position accuracy.It has been used widely.One of the key technologies of the method is to determine the time between suction waves going through the two measuring points of the pipeline.Kalman filter is first used to get the featured inflection point of pressure wave.The experiments show that the method can reduce the false alarm rate efficiently and it can locate small leakage.
