Desafios da docência em um curso de Medicina: análises dos pilares de resiliência

2021
The objective of this research was to evaluate the pillars of resilience of teachers of a Medical course at a university in the state of Sao Paulo. 68 teachers participated in the study and answered to the Resilience Pillar Scale. Among the sample means, the highest was found in the Self-efficacy pillar (M = 72.6) and lowest in the Positive Acceptance of Change pillar (M = 17.4). The analysis by gender revealed that only in the Sociability pillar there were statistically significant differences between men and women. As for the correlations between the pillars, there was only greater magnitude between Good Humor and Emotional Control. New investigations are suggested in Medical courses that allow the verification of associations between teacher resilience and the changes to be implemented that require flexibility and use of coping strategies from the teacher.
