Understanding renal patients who are challenging or complex

Patients receiving haemodialysis can sometimes present with behaviour which can be seen as ‘challenging’ to those offering care services. In this paper, Chloe Miller, Janette Moran and Amy Stevenson describe an attachment theory-based workshop aimed at helping staff in a haemodialysis unit understand why some patients react the way they do.
