Volatile Constituents from Atriplex tatarica

2010
The volatile oils extracted from the whole plants of Atriplex tatarica by water steam distillation and Soxhlet extraction were analyzed by GC-MS.The relative content of each component was determined by area normalization.Fifty-three compounds were separated and fifty-one of them were identified from the oil of water steam distillation method, the major constituents are 1-methoxy-4-(1-propenyl)-benzene(45.84%),heptacosane(9.82%),1H-indol-5-ol(6.81%),benzenacetic acid,α-hydroxy-,and 2-methylpropyl ester(4.03%).Twenty-six compounds were separated and twenty-two of them were identified from the oil of Soxhlet extraction method, the major constituents are nonacosane(22.63%),(Z,Z)-9,12-octadecanoic acid(16.69%),hexadecanal(6.89%),and n-hexadecanoic acid(5.43%).
