Trajectories of Saltating Particles over a Rough Channel Bed

A video image recording was used to analyze particle movement near a rough channel bottom. Distributions of particle horizontal and vertical velocity components as well as particle rotational velocities were obtained from the image recording. The results were compared with a prediction of the stochastic numerical model.
