Synthesis of Side-Chain Polysiloxane Liquid Crystalline Intermediate

The related side-chain polysiloxane liquid crystalline intermediate M1 with —CH2CH2CH2O— was synthesized through etherification and the grafting reaction with p-hydroxy benzoic acid,allyl bromide,hydrogen silicone oil.Then the side-chain polysiloxane liquid crystalline intermediate M2 with —CH2CH2COOCH2CH2O— was obtained through substitution,etherification and grafting reaction with p-hydroxy benzoic acid,chloroethanol,acrylic acid and hydrogen silicone oil.The structures of the compounds were characterized by IR,which confirmed with the attributes of the target product.
