El perfil ideal del periodista según los medios

This research seeks to identify the ideal journalist profile that media require today in Ecuador. In order to do it, it is proposed to determine the characteristics of the new profiles that two traditional media demand: Ultimas Noticias and Teleamazonas, and two digital native media: Plan V and GK. This implies a structured analysis of in-depth interviews applied to representatives (editors or editors in chief) of these media, considering the characteristics of the profession in Latin America (Konrad-Adenauer Stiftung, 2016). In addition, the approach of digital convergence in new professional practices (Salaverria, 2009) and the mutations of journalism (Mercier, 2014) are addressed. However. despite the changes that journalists and the media are facing, the role of the journalist as the protagonist of the mediations process between social reality (Gomis, 1991) and the media construction of social reality is not neglected (Caceres Zapatero, 2011).
