A disposable obturator for maxillary defects.

Abstract Temporary obturators are required following surgery for maxillary cancer to obtain early speech rehabilitation and to avoid shrinkage of soft tissues. A method for making an elastic disposable obturator of foam silicon rubber is described. The advantages of this restoration are described.
