The Centre of Advanced Studies in Agricultural Communication: A Case Study of Institution Building in India

AbstractIn this paper, the authors describe what they consider the most comprehensive efforts to strengthen an institution in the field of agricultural communication. The effects appear to snowball. The impact of the Centre of Advanced Studies in Agricultural Communication (CASAC) is far-reaching. At least twenty other agricultural universities and institutes, extension systems, mass media organisations, rural development agencies and agricultural communicators are actively involved in this area of communication.
