NEW CODE OF PRACTICE FOR CONCRETE BLOCK PAVEMENTS

1983
An outline is given of the contents of the code of practice published by the Cement and Concrete Association, the County Surveyors Society and Interpave for laying concrete block pavements. Prepared for the guidance of designers, supervisors and contractors the code does not aim to cover all possible modes of construction of concrete block paving but does refer to other relevant publications. The major part of the code deals with materials and construction techcniques and a glossary of terms is included. Some personal comments are included by the author on how concrete block paving techniques have been found to work in practice and on the types of situation in which they are particularly effective.
