Influence of Culture Modes on Growth of Enhydris chinensis(Gray)

The influence of culture modes on growth of Enhydris chinensis(Gray)was conducted through two blocks of cement ponds(CM1j)and soil ponds(CM2j)being designed to four kinds of culture modes that were Enhydris chinensis(Gray)cultured with fish(CMi1),with crab(CMi2),with wild rice stem(CMi3)and bioecological culture(CMi4),respectively.Results of analysis of variance showed that influence of culture mode on body mass(BM),relative growth rate of body mass(RGM),monthly body mass gain(MMG),specific growth rate(SGR),ratio of body mass to body length and Le Cren relative condition factor(RCF)were significantly different(P0.01),and that CM2j was better than CM1j,and the effects of culture modes were CMi4,CMi1,CMi3,CMi2 successively.It demonstrated clearly that bioecological culture in soil pond was the best culture mode,and may provide an important reference for large scale commercial Enhydris chinensis(Gray)culturation in China.
