Guest Editorial Special Issue on Microwave Photonics

The papers in this special section focus on microwave photonics (MWP). MWP has experienced significant growth, fueled in part by technological advances enabled by photonic integration; the use of photonics to enhance instrumentation, sensing, and radar applications; and the use of microwave/millimeter-wave photonics for 5G applications and beyond. This special issue is intended to provide a “snapshot” of some of the latest results and key findings in the field.
