Solution-processed white light-emitting device with polymer/quantum-dot composite emission layers

2021
Abstract White organic light-emitting diodes (WOLED) are usually fabricated with the high-cost vacuum evaporation method. Although low-cost solution method can also be adopted in WOLED, it usually requires multiple interconnecting layers and complicates the manufacturing process. In this study, a white polymer/quantum-dot composite light-emitting diode with a simple structure was fabricated through solution process, in which the issue of interlayer dissolution is effectively avoided. The electroluminescence spectrum of this device is close to standard white light, with 1931 Commission International de I’Eclairage (CIE) chromaticity coordinates of (0.3249, 0.3317), and a maximum brightness of 15856.9 cd/m2.
