Coordinated Optimization of Integrated Energy System Considering Demand Response and Energy Storage

Demand response(DR) and energy storage(ES) systems play important roles in future integrated energy system(IES). DR and ES need to be considered during the optimal operation of IES. In this paper, a bi-level coordinated optimization method of IES considering DR and ES is proposed, which bases on the genetic algorithm(GA) and improved second-order cone optimization method. Firstly, the models of renewable energy(RE), DR, ES and other devices of IES are established. Then the GA is used as the optimization method of the first-level optimization, which obtains the optimal equipment capacity. Next the second-order cone optimization method is used as the second-level optimization method. The optimal operation strategy is determined in this level. Moreover, the effect of DR and ES on optimal operation and economics of IES is studied. Finally, the validity and effectiveness of the proposed method are verified by simulations on the IES modified from the IEEE 33 node system.
