Research on high power interleaved bidirectional dc/dc converter with coupling technique

2017
Interleaved dc/dc converter with coupled inductors is preferred in high power applications for their better steady- state and dynamic-state performances. But most of the coupled inductors proposed so far for multi-phase interleaved converters are in the same core, which may suffer several issues, such as asymmetrical parameters, high manufacturing cost and large dc flux. In this paper, the merits of 3-phase interleaved dc/dc converters with coupled inductors are analyzed theoretically, then an equivalent model is deduced in order to use standard transformers instead of the 3-phase coupled inductor. With standard transformers, the cost can be reduced, the parameters can be symmetrical and there will be nearly no dc flux. The proposed model is applied to a 3-phase interleaved dc/dc converter in PSIM to verify its superiority and practicability.
