The invention relates to a wide-frequency-band low-dispersion and negative-refraction material. A basic structure unit of the wide-frequency-band low-dispersion and negative-refraction material comprises a dielectric substrate, cross lines and semicircular open opposite rings. The cross lines and the semicircular open opposite rings are etched on the front face and the back face of the dielectric substrate. Every two semicircular open opposite rings are mirror images of each other about the center of one side, where the two semicircular open opposite rings are located, of the dielectric substrate. The four edges of each cross line are flush with the four edges of the dielectric substrate. Through design of the shape structure parameters of the structure unit of the negative-refraction material, the negative-refraction material can generate a low-dispersion and negative-refraction characteristic in the wide frequency band around 50 GHz and show high reflectivity in the other adjacent wide frequency band, offset of negative-refraction frequency bands and increase of the reflectivity corresponding to the frequency bands can be achieved by adjusting the main parameters of the structure unit, and the wide-frequency-band low-dispersion and negative-refraction material can be widely applied to a microwave planar antenna and a microwave reflector.
