Simulation Study of the Shock Wave Effect of Embedded Explosion of Warhead

In this paper, finite element method was used to simulate and calculate the damage effect of shock wave caused by the explosion of warhead embedded onto warship cabin structure. The result showed that shock wave was the main factor causing damage to warship cabin and the shock wave generated by explosion could cause serious damage to personnel, instrumentation and equipment. At the same time, the peak pressure of shock wave inside the cabin decreases significantly due to the pressure relief effect of armor-piercing crevasse, thus its damage to cabin structure was relatively small. Detonation product could also cause serious damage to the embedded part of cabin structure.
