Discrimination between temperature and strain using fiber Bragg grating inscribed in few-mode silica-germanate fiber

Temperature and strain sensitivities of fiber Bragg grating inscribed in silica-germanate fiber are experimentally investigated. Thanks to the different sensitivities of individual resonance peaks, the configuration has the potential to measure these two parameters simultaneously.
