New Records and Taxonomy of Agaricales from North-western Himalaya

We describe six mushroom species belonging to the order Agaricales viz Amanita foetidissima Reid & Eicker, Lacrymaria glareosa (Favre) Watling, Pluteus plautus (Wein.) Gill., Paxillus panuoides (Fr.) Fr., Tricholomella constricta (Fr.) Zerova ex Kalamees and Entoloma canobrunnescens Horak. Five species are new fungus records for India and Paxillus panuoides, which is an edible fungus is reported for the first time from Himachal Pradesh. Dried specimens have been preserved in the Genetic Resources Laboratory of National Research Centre for Mushroom, Solan, Himachal Pradesh. The DNA sequence of T. constricta has been submitted to NCBI under Accession no. EU571227.
