The domestication of animals is one of mankind’s most impactful inventions. When, where, and how did this important process begin and what impact has it left on our animals, environment, and our societies? Through the combined tools of modern archeology and genetics, more and more of the mysteries surrounding this critical choice are being uncovered. Seeing this invention as a process in the coevolution of species has become critical to our understanding of the biology of these animals as well as our own.
