Architecture for Integrated Management Information System for Trakia University of Stara Zagora

textabstractIn this report we present the possible solutions for architecture for the Integrated Management Information System (IMIS) of Trakia University – Stara Zagora. Several possible implementations for the system are reviewed and compared. The first one takes into consideration the use of regular web servers, connected to databases, along with a backup system. The second one is based on consolidated hardware, using blade servers, on which virtual servers are deployed. The backup system is an iSCSI-based Storage Area Network. The considerations for the selected solution are presented, along with its advantages and disadvantages.
