ALGORITHMIC DEVELOPMENT OF THE SECOND ORDER LOADFLOW FOR REAL TIME APPLICATIONS

Detailed performance evaluations of the second order loadflow have been carried out by the Authors and are reported here in summary form. It is concluded that the second order method is broadly comparable in speed with the fast decoupled method, both being significantly faster than Newton Raphson.
