Improved CBT Model of Metaphor and its Operation Mechanism

Based on the CBT model,the paper intends to work out the modified CBT model of metaphor to explain the construction and understanding of metaphors with high and low metaphoricity respectively.The new model highlights the relevance and inference mechanism,and the adjuvant psychological space is added to it as the cognitive aid to the default information and the specific cognitive context in order to approach the theoretical hypothesis model of metaphor.Furthermore,the paper discusses the intrinsic operation mechanism,explores and understands the metaphor meaning from the perspective of the metaphor subjects,and points that the information source of the additional psychological space is the cognitive context.
