Proceso de participación pública en relación a la estrategia de geodiversidad 2020 y al borrador del inventario de lugares de interés geológico de la comunidad autónoma del País Vasco

The Basque government drafted the Inventory of Geosites and enacted the 2020 Geodiversity Strategy of the Basque Autonomous Community in 2011 and 2012. Later, it was considered necessary to mplement a public participatory process with public services, interested groups and population in general, in order to inform, reach a consensus, validate and, in case, to modify those documents. The utilized different tools, as well, the diverse stakeholders involved are considered as the main key for the success of the participatory process. This kind of participatory process relative to Strategies or Inventories are considered also as a main key to reach a common agreement between the stakeholders involved and to achieve, from their start, an important impulse for their implementation. In future, the actions planned by the recently passed 2020 Geodiversity Strategy should be achieved, firstly, the legislative passing of the Inventory of Geosites to be precise.
