Proliferation of MDA-MB-231 cells was suppressed by culture with S. horneri active component (less than 3000 molecular weight; 10-200 µg/ml) for 5 and 10 days. S. horneri active component was suggested to inhibit G1 and G2/M phase cell cycle arrest in MDA-MB-231 cells using inhibitors of cell-cycle arrest.
