Application of Hamming distance to trophic status evaluation of a lake

Abstract By designing the membership function of assessable parameters of trophic status, this paper presents an assessable method of trophic status of lake by means of the Hamming distance. An example analysis and comparison with other assessable methods of trophic status show that this method processes advantages in rational theory, simple design of membership function, easy calculation and can be compared with each other.
