5G cellular systems with D2D assisted NOMA relay

2016
Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) recently has received great attention as a prime candidate of 5G systems. In this paper, we propose a Device to Device (D2D) assisted NOMA relay scheme that improves the Signal to Interference plus Noise Ratio (SINR) of far UE in NOMA and enables to D2D communication at once. With usage of D2D relay in NOMA, D2D relay has more spectral efficiency than traditional D2D relay scheme. Also, far UE's data rate is increased than traditional NOMA schemes. Simulation result shows significant average UE2 data rate increase than traditional NOMA systems.
