This paper presents the elastohydrodynamic behaviour of a solid skirt piston of a direct injection diesel engine. The secondary movement, coupled with the effect of piston lubrication is simulated. It takes into account the effects of thermal and mechanical load The results obtained show the large importance of the thermomechanical effect and the parameter of design on piston’s elastohydrodynamic.
