Progression and Application of the Techniques for Detection of Foot and Mouth Disease

The progression and application of biological test,diagnostic techniques of serology and molecular biology for foot and mouth disease(FMD) were summarized in this paper.The biological test included animal experiment and cell culture,the diagnostic techniques of serology included complement fixation test,virus neutralization test,agglutination test,enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA),rapid detection technique of colloidal gold and so on,diagnostic techniques of molecular biology included RT-PCR,DNA probe,nucleic acid sequence analysis,isoelectric focusing and so on.
